Introduction
Welcome. You have just landed on a site that's probably got too much stuff on it. I decided I wanted to put up everything I am into as well as what I like. As you'll see I'm into a lot of things, including music (listening to it and producing it) along with my first love of Jazz/Funk & Soul, due to being a DJ for a long period ('78 to '92) and I got the tunes to prove it . Check out the media player for some wicked streaming music

I'm also into movies, games, anything Sci-Fi, web & media graphic design, electronics design & construction and more. There's quite a lot of information on here. Enjoy it. It's here for you to read, hopefully some of it might be of use

...

What's On Here Then?
Well ... There's an About section that has an in-depth deescription of my background in electonics and computers. A Projects section that contains finished and pending projects, that I have been involved in, which are mostly hobby type projects but I have had a few outside ventures too. Aaahhh the Portfolio section. This will tell you what I am (or am not) capable of and contains a lot of web & media designs. The all important CV is just a web formatted version for easy browsing

...

The Constant Project
One of my favourite projects, to date, is the streaming online jukebox, called the Core.Media.Player. The player streams music, from my webspace, via the Macromedia Flash GUI interface (I do like designing GUIs, see under Projects). The choonz have been personally selected (cough!) by me (cough!). Hopefully you'll like 'em. The genre's covered are: Jazz/Funk & Soul (will contain my 12" vinyl collection in the future), a little bit of Happy House and a sweet selection of melodic Drum 'n Bass, nothing too heavy. More to be added at a later stage. Hmmm I think it's time to update the GUI again ... I CAN'T HELP IT ... it's an addiction

A 'Funky Party' Tip:
If you throw the PC (or Laptop) AUDIO output into an AUX input of a domestic power amp you'll have streaming music pumping out of those speakers but you must have Internet connection obviously. Wi-Fi with the laptop and a power amp is the way to go then, for those patio parties

...

The Gamer In Me
As a 'when I feel like it' gamer I can and do get engrossed in a good computer game. I haven't really played any game consoles since the Atari 2600, all those years ago but recently I have got into two consoles in a big way. Therefore I have a section on Games.Consoles, which mainly covers the Xbox (standard and the 360) and the PSP, two of my favourite consoles to date. There's info on what to do to hack them, so they can do lots of extra things, like play copied games, create/convert and watch MPEG4 (XviD) movies, plus untold goodies

...

Snapshot
Haha, the Gallery. Now this contains some photos of me and friends out and about locally. There's a Blog, which seems to be lacking in updates (it's finding the time). I got a proper WebCam containing proper content for a WebCam ... images of spiders and their webs (meant to be a joke more than anything else). On request I have added a Ringtones page, the ringtones were made by moi, from decent audio resources

...

A Fruity Device
Now for a contradiction. As most of you who know me I am not a great Apple fan but I have done the 'Judas Manoeuvre' and bought an iPhone. So the iPhone section will give you lots of info on the Apple iPhone. I'll take you through the process of hacking it so that you can enjoy your own icons, ringtones, etc, etc. I never thought I'd buy an Apple product but I did and gotta say it is one hell of a piece of kit

...

Gadget Land
Yamada
... Who? What? I had to put up a page about this electronics manufacture company because I have bought several DVD players in the past, both of which can play XviD MPEG4 videos (movies). I also bought one of their PVRs (Personal Video Recorder) for the first time. It's a digital video recorder if you like, using a hard drive to capture the video content as opposed of using cassette tapes. Two hours after buying it I stripped it down and wanted to know what was inside. You can see that article here

...

Share That File
Internet sharing has taken over, in a big way, on the Net. Peer2Peer (P2P) basically allows you to download stuff from other peoples computers. I think it's pretty self explanatory now, as most people know how to do it or have used similar applications. This little section on Peer2Peer networking will start you off down the road to treasures that Long John Silver never had

...

DVD Heaven
The section, on DVD.Backups, is very interesting for those who wish to backup their expensive and proud DVD collection. I give you some tips on how to achieve this as well as compressing them into MPEG-4 format, for viewing on other devices

...

A Little Bit Of Retro
The Arcade.Room is just a little bit of fun. Still needs work doing to it

...

Where To Go From Here
Finally some Links to help you along the way ... I don't know where ... you decide

And Finally
As with ALL web sites (finished or not), this is always 'under construction'. I do change things quite frequently on here but you might not know what, therefore I have created a Latest.News pge so you can get an idea of any changes made to this site

Cheers and have fun,
Martin
